As an artist
I express what "I" feel.
I explore emotions and the way I perceive the world through abstract forms, materials, and compositions. There are no fixed formats—my work moves freely between flat surfaces and sculptural expressions. The core subject is all kinds of human emotions and sensory experiences.

Exploration of new materials
Using chemical-based materials such as Polydimethylsiloxane and Polyvinyl acetate, I conduct experiments on physical properties that are rarely seen in traditional painting media. I also work with various paints like acrylic, oil, watercolor, and natural pigments to observe and record visual patterns created by diffusion, mixing, and concentration differences between materials.
The types of expressions that emerge include:
- Spreading: Ink or paint spreads out, causing colors to blur.
- Mixing: Two materials overlap, and boundaries dissolve in the blend.
- Swirling: Circular movement creates dynamic structures.
- Dividing: Concentration or speed differences cause splitting or boundary formation.
These experiments form the basis for visualizing the flow, density, and conflicts of emotions.
Abstract expression processes
I study the process of converting emotions and sensations into abstract visual language rather than directly depicting them.
This process is broadly divided into:
- Simplification: Reducing complex emotions or scenes to their core elements.
- Segmentation: Dividing a single emotion into time, space, and relational components.
- Deconstruction: Breaking down actual forms to leave only the essence of the emotion.
- Motif utilization: Reconstructing visual cues that evoke emotions, drawn from nature (e.g., waves, wood grain), actions (e.g., gripping, twisting), and sounds (e.g., resonance, repetition)
This process connects to creating structures that intuitively convey emotions.
Research on how color, form, and space reflect emotions
I systematically study how color, form, and space communicate emotions.
To do this, I analyze visual elements by breaking down color tones and contrasts, form density and balance, and spatial arrangement and rhythm.
By combining and reconstructing these elements, I develop a visual language that concretely expresses emotions.
This work builds design structures that deliver emotions clearly and intuitively.
